Summer Training Institute


General Information You Will Need:
Tuition for each two week session is $1800 (your billing contact will receive an invoice from Sinclair Community College AIM Center) which includes instruction, materials, and lunches on the days class is in session. Breakfast and dinner are not included. After the initial Sunday session beginning with the opening of registration at 1 pm and orientation at 2 pm, classes run 8:00 am to 5:00 pm every weekday, with some possible evening sessions. Graduation will take place on the final Friday, and is REQUIRED for all participants. The graduation will conclude by 1:30 pm, after which you are free to leave. The connecting weekend is free time unless your instructor specifies otherwise.

Cancellation Policy
  • You may cancel out of a class up to 2 weeks in advance of the first day of class with no penalty. 
  • If you cancel within two weeks of the beginning of the class period, you will be charged a $500 cancellation fee.  
  • If you sign up for the class and do not show up for class and do not provide an explanation for your absence, you will be charged the full tuition amount of $1800. 

Graduate Credit
Wright State University is once again offering four hours of graduate credit for PLTW classes. Please read the restrictions. Further information and instructions for applying for grad credit will be provided to you at orientation upon request.

Summer Training Institute Dates
All STI participants must report on Sunday afternoon between 1 and 2 pm for registration, software loading and orientation.
