PLTWO Exams & Data Collection System
Exams
Every PLTW teacher in the state who has taught any PLTW course in 2006/2007 must give Parts A and C of the final exams for that course. Part B is optional, but recommended. Parts A and B are available on www.pltw.org in the Registered Teachers area.
Part C of the exam is available on the website ONLY to nationally certified schools. To receive Part C if you are NOT teaching in a nationally certified school or otherwise cannot access the exam, please email kathy.sommers@ode.state.oh.us with your name, address, and the course you are teaching. Kathy will then confirm your identity as a PLTW Ohio teacher and MAIL you a hard copy of Part C of the exam. The entire exam should be given, even if the material has not been covered in its entirety.
Entering Data
Once you have given the exam, you must then enter the data into the system at WebXam.org. To do so, you will be emailed a username and password from the state affiliate. If you have forgotten your username or your password, please notify deb.lukjanovs@sinclair.edu to be reminded of it. If you are a new teacher this year, you will receive your username and password in an email in early May.
For a complete set of instructions that you may print out, click here (PDF Format).
To go directly to the login page and begin entering your student data, go to http://www.webxam.org/
The deadline for entering data into the system is June 30, 2008.
All PLTW teachers must enter data into the system for each PLTW class taught.
Please Note: If you have not already done so, you will first need to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view PDF files online. By clicking on the "Get Acrobat Reader" icon below, you will be taken directly to Adobe's site where you can download this file viewer.
